Clean Design 4300 DWT Platform Supply Vessel
Remontowa S.A. has a distinct objective to
create creative solutions to provide cost effective means of meeting its
Client’s requirements. This is achieved through a tight working liaison
between its Sales Office and Design Office enabling new ideas to be formed into
reality. Experience gained in
shipbuilding of various types of offshore support vessels has enabled the
efficient design of newbuildings, to meet the rapidly developing needs of
surface marine support for deployment of drilling / transport equipment.
Greater oil and gas development in the offshore industry has driven demand for bigger, high-tech supply vessels meeting new strict rules and regulations for all environmentally sensitive areas.

Remontowa S.A. has developed a variety of
projects, which are designed to be economical to operate, to be efficient and
flexible tools securing safe environment for their crews. Owing to our over 60
years of shipbuilding experience, latest achievements in propulsion and deck
equipment technology, we are proud to present our new Platform Supply Vessel
design.
New Remontowa’s PSV was developed emphasizing
environmental friendly features without compromising its efficiency and
serviceability. Consideration was given towards applicable and planned rules,
to make new design fulfil fully compatible. At design stage ABS class
regulations were accounted for, although other class societies may be chosen.
The hull shape is based on previously built
vessels and checked during endurance water basin tests. Reduced hull resistance
was achieved through slender lines what is reflected in lesser use of power and
consequently a lower fuel consumption which, in turn, controls the amount of CO2/NOx
emissions.
Maneuvering and sailing capabilities are
controlled both by the hull form and by passive tank stabilization systems
tailored to the endeavored operation.
Our multipurpose PSV design is arranged for
operation with 4300 tons of deadweight.
In line with clean design guidelines all
chemical cargo / oil tanks are located within double skinned hull. Tank
arrangement under main deck allows to carry variety of cargoes, regardless if
any kind of liquid, bulk, powder either solid are concerned. The Cement Bulk System includes dust collector
with dust cyclone for the bulk tanks with automatic drainage. Tanks form was
shaped for effortless cleaning and maintenance and fitted with cargo pumps
selected for rapid discharge.
Particular care has been given to design of
spacious 1000 m2 cargo deck that may carry 2500 tons of load (such
as pipes, containerized / bulk cargoes). Thanks to stabilizing tanks, the heel
influence has been minimized to practical level, hence improving safety factors
and work comfort. Basic outfitting provided for cargo handling comprises of two
2 ton at 10 m outreach cranes and two pairs of 10 tons cargo winches. High
bulwarks on both sides protect cargo and crew from outboard sea and weather
influence.
Working deck is prepared to accommodate latest
technology novelties such as remote coupling hose connection manifolds or
automatic sea-fastening system either more lifting equipment such as fixed / retractable
cranes etc. As offshore safety standards are raising and become more and more
adopted all over the world, our design is arranged to withstand high safety
standards set.
Spacious working deck is well controlled form
the bridge designed with attention to good visibility in all directions. Ergonomically
designed accommodation areas with special care for decreasing vibration and
noise level improves environment for 42 strong crew onboard, boosting thus
safety factors. For the purpose of worldwide operations crew area is entirely
air conditioned.
Propulsion has been carefully selected to
minimize environmental impact - PSV features diesel electric propulsion, based
on low emission engines and effective frequency control of main propellers and
thrusters for optimal fuel saving. Design provides for optional installation of
catalytic converters on propulsion engines in case of Client requirement.
Proposed propulsion systems consists of diesel-electric power plant based on
two or four (depending on Customer choice) Caterpillar 3516B generating sets
rated 1825 kW each and adequately two or four Caterpillar 3508B generating sets
rated 910 kW each where the best optimal solution utilize four CAT 3512
generating sets, driving two 1500 kW azimuth propellers. It is intended
installed drive will enable flexible operation and transit with speed up to 14,5
knots, depending on load. Engine room is fully compliant with statutory
notations outlining unmanned machinery space. Fully automatic DP2 class
positioning system is based on azi-pull thrusters and pair of 1000 HP bow thrusters
provides redundancy in position reference and thruster control. Extensive
integrated alarm and monitoring system, including cargo space, gives online
control over single point of vessel.
PSV design enables for oil recovery and safety
standby features, while optional versions enable it to be configured for
provision of helicopter landing deck, fire-fighting stands, ROV / Trencher and
Dive Support operations and be fitted with additional accommodation. Remontowa
is open also for other possibilities to match ideas of its Customer.
Vessel may have ABS Class notation: +A1, (E), Offshore Support Vessel, +AMS,+ACCU, +DPS-2, +FFV Class 1, ES, POT, HAB and the following principal characteristics:
