The newbuilding area was exceptionally strong in REMONTOWA Group in the year 2005. Sales in this area achieved the level of about PLN 400 million.
As of Autumn 2005, the company made a breakthrough with winning several newbuilding orders bringing orders portfolio to 22 units. Several further orders have been acquired since, including heavy lift ice strengthened deck cargo carriers and platform supply vessels of innovative Ulstein X-Bow design (see News section for more information).
Remontowa S.A. marketing department strengthened the Northern Shipyard, and now this yard builds finished vessels for turn-key deliveries, rather than partially outfitted hulls, which was mostly the case before Northern became the part of REMONTOWA Group.
We take advantage of shipbuilding boom. We could choose more interesting offers as most shipyards are booked for 2008 and even beyond, while we could offer deliveries in 2006. It also helped to strengthen our position as marine equipment manufacturer.
