DFDS ferry Queen of Scandionavia
On 23rd of January 2004 the car-passanger ferry "Queen of Scandinavia" belonging to Danish shipowner DFDS arrived to Remontowa.

This ferry was rebuilt in Remontowa in January 2000. Among the other things there were built the additional sponsons and new stern in its bottom part, the bow has been rebuilt, the deck 5 and 6, on which the new cabins have been assembled and also the recreational centre for the passangers. All in all 800 tons of steel have been used.
Currently the docking and maintenance work was carried out and 30 tons of steel in bow part have been replaced. The whole hull including its quickwork has been cleaned and painted and measurements of clearance on propeller shafter and rudder have been checked.
"Queen of Scandinavia" serves on the sailing line Ijmuiden (near Amsterdam) - New Castle.
She can take more than 1700 passangers aboard.
