Modern ships require modern technology and Remontowa S.A., along with affiliated companies and subsidiaries, is ready to both utilize and offer skills and services based on newest technology, as well as products with new technology implemented.

For example the Design Office of Remontowa S.A. employs modern software and computer facilities.

IT-Rem, a company established in 2003 as a result of long standing experience of Remontowa S.A. in scope of usage automation and monitoring systems as well as integrated navigation systems, now member of REMONTOWA Group, is its IT and new technology company. The ability of integration of equipment and software coming from different manufactures allows IT-Rem to offer optimal solutions suiting shipowners’ interests. IT-Rem also develops its own systems.

The areas covered by IT-Rem include:
- automation and monitoring systems
- dynamic positioning (DP) systems
- integrated bridge systems (IBS)
- computer networks

IT-Rem embarks on development of ship maintenance and condition monitoring systems utilizing Internet and satellite communication and remote diagnostics technology, which is the ultimate vision and goal for Remontowa's service support for shipowners and other clients.
