Knutsen Volatile Organic Compound System – KVOC®

Following unique idea and design of Knutsen Volatile Organic Compound System – KVOC®, from the very beginning, Remontowa has been fully cooperating with the owner and involved in this project.

Remontowa has delivered all presently existing KVOC® onboard Knutsen OAS vessels and installed units onboard following shuttle tankers:

• m/t Siri Knutsen
• m/t Tove Knutsen
• m/t Ragnhild Knutsen
• m/t Tordis Knutsen
• m/t Gijon Knutsen

Basing on the Knutsen’s design, Remontowa has in all cases performed complete delivery packages comprising of purchasing, prefabrication of elements, assembly of units, paint treatment. Installation onboard has been executed both on vessels during drydocking /regular repairs and also on vessels arriving specially for this KVOC® installation to Remontowa.
Depending on size/capacity of individual units, system included from one to several tanks to be lifted and placed on board.
For smooth and timesaving transport operations Remontowa’s own floating crane 220 tons, have been used.
Latest installation took place in August 2006 onboard m/t Gijon Knutsen during conversion to shuttle tanker.
