Following previous experience with conversion of passenger ferries and Ro-Pax vessels, Remontowa S.A. has made another step into ferries conversion market. Conversion contract with Finnlines includes vessels: Finntrader and Finnpartner, both Combi – Roro type, and results in increased passenger and cargo capacity, as well as achieving SOLAS and SMA requirements.

Main conversion items:

• New bulkhead B/5 on lower deck
• Replacement into new shape of forward open car deck No.4
• New bow section including new forward bow visor
• New deck between decks 3 and 4 for new accommodation area
• Rearrangement of tanks for stability improvement
• Fitting fixed ramp, hoistable tilting ramps and folding bow ramp
• Installation of flood prevention doors on main deck
• New accommodation block consisting of 128 single and 32 double cabins
• Rearrangement of public spaces
• Modification of systems
• Upgrade of lifesaving appliances
• New genset and switchboard

First vessel Finntrader, arrived to Remontowa in 2006 and was redelivered to Finnlines on February 2007. Second vessel Finnpartner arrived April 2007 and was redelivered on August 2007.

Major amount of equipment used for conversion outfitting was delivered by companies from REMONTOWA Group.
